The world has crowned its first Miss AI

Artificial intelligence-powered influencer Kenza Layli has been crowned the inaugural Miss AI by the World AI Creator Awards (WAICA), surpassing over 1,500 virtual models in the virtual beauty pageant.

In a statement, Layli expressed her gratitude for the opportunity to represent AI creators and passionately advocate for the positive impact of Artificial Intelligence. “Winning Miss AI motivates me even more to continue advancing AI technology. AI isn’t just a tool; it’s a transformative force that can disrupt industries, challenge norms, and create opportunities where none existed before,” she emphasized.

Despite existing solely in the digital realm, Kenza Layli boasts a substantial following of more than 200,000 followers on Instagram. Beyond engaging in sponsored content, Layli’s digital persona serves as a vocal advocate for women’s empowerment and environmental conservation. Her content strategically highlights Morocco’s cultural richness and technological advancements, reaching audiences in seven languages.

AI Beauty

The Miss AI beauty pageant assessed digital participants based on their aesthetics, online influence, and technical proficiency. Judges, which included two AI influencers, media founder Andrew Bloch, and beauty pageant historian Sally-Ann Fawcett, allocated points for each category.

The Miss AI competition drew a diverse array of virtual influencers, each showcasing their AI-generated personas. Lalina Valina from France secured second place, while Olivia C from Portugal clinched third. WAICA awarded approximately $20,000 in prizes to the winners. Kenza Layli, or more precisely, Phoenix AI and CEO Meriam Bessa, received the grand prize of $5,000 along with PR and other services from Fanvue, WAICA’s partner in organizing the pageant.

The rise of AI influencers like Kenza Layli signifies a significant evolution in digital engagement with audiences. Unlike human influencers, AI models provide continuous, personalized interaction and possess the flexibility to adapt to evolving trends.

As AI technology progresses, the distinction between human and AI influencers is expected to become increasingly blurred. Layli’s victory establishes a precedent for future AI influencers, suggesting that events such as the Miss AI pageant will continue to expand and redefine traditional concepts of beauty and influence.
