The ongoing RAM/storage crisis is hitting the tech industry big time. We’ve already seen smartphone brands like OPPO, Vivo, and OnePlus hiking the prices of their products in certain regions. It seems Lenovo is next to join the list now, as its Android tablets are seeing a price rise of nearly $30-$70 in the US.
Lenovo Android tablet price increase affects key models
For what it’s worth, Lenovo reportedly warned about a price increase to some of its products earlier this year. It turns out, the list includes its entire lineup of tablets, which are usually available for discounted prices on the Lenovo website. While the discounts are no longer available, the prices have now gone up. Folks at PhoneArena have first spotted the price changes on Lenovo’s US store.
The Lenovo Tab One’s price has gone up from $149.99 to $179.99. The Lenovo Idea Tab, which is originally $229.99, is now $289.99. The Lenovo Idea Tab Plus now costs $329.99, instead of the original $299.99 price. The Lenovo Idea Tab Pro’s price is now $419.99, up from $389.99. The Lenovo Yoga Tab, which is originally $549.99, is now $619.99. Finally, the Lenovo Yoga Tab Plus now costs $799.99, instead of $769.99
It’s highly unlikely we may see hefty discounts like before. But then we never know. How big an impact this price hike across the board will have on the overall Lenovo tablet sales is something we’ll have to wait and watch. But common sense is that nobody likes paying more, especially not when the same product that was once available at a lower price is now more expensive.
The Legion Tab (Gen 3) is no longer available
Beyond the price hikes, there’s another interesting change to the Lenovo tablet lineup. In recent times, the Lenovo Legion Tab (Gen 3) has reportedly been removed from sale on the company’s website. The listing currently says “Available Soon.” This is a simple placeholder. It seems that Lenovo is preparing for the launch of the Legion Tab (Gen 5), which went official at MWC 2026 last month. The removal of the Gen 3 model is a big deal, considering the latest Gen 5 version is quite expensive at $849.
