Chinese tech giant OnePlus has officially announced the release of its highly anticipated flagship smartphone, the OnePlus 13, scheduled for unveiling next month. Louis Lee, President of OnePlus China, shared that the new device is expected to be powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset, as reported by GSM Arena.
This launch is significant for OnePlus, positioning them as one of the first smartphone makers to introduce a flagship model shortly after Qualcomm’s newest chipset is revealed, which is anticipated in mid to late October. This quick turnaround underscores OnePlus’s commitment to staying at the forefront of mobile technology advancements.
The OnePlus 13 is set to offer notable performance enhancements, especially in gaming. Recent benchmarks suggest that the device will support 120 Hz gameplay on demanding titles like Genshin Impact, highlighting its robust gaming performance and overall power.
The initial launch will take place in China, likely timed to coincide with the major shopping event Singles’ Day (11.11) on November 11. An international release is expected to follow in early 2025.
On Weibo, Louis Lee hinted at an October release for the OnePlus 13, heightening anticipation among global tech enthusiasts. According to Android Authority, the phone is predicted to feature a 6.8-inch micro-curved display with 2K resolution and LTPO technology, similar to its predecessor, the OnePlus 12.
While the display may remain largely unchanged, the integration of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 is expected to bring significant improvements in performance, battery life, and gaming capabilities, positioning the OnePlus 13 as a strong contender in the next generation of smartphones.
