Google’s upcoming flagship, the Pixel 10 Pro, is reportedly set to launch on August 13, according to a leaked internal schedule. However, early leaks suggest that this year’s model may be more of a refinement than a major overhaul compared to the Pixel 9 Pro, as reported by PhoneArena.
Design and Build
Google seems to be sticking closely to the design language introduced with the Pixel 9 series. The Pixel 10 Pro is expected to retain the same flat-edged frame, aluminium and glass construction, and a familiar color palette that includes Porcelain, Obsidian, Rose, and Quartz. Based on leaked renders, the phone’s size and weight appear nearly identical to its predecessor, with only slight adjustments in dimensions.
Display
Don’t expect major changes to the screen, either. The Pixel 10 Pro is expected to feature the same 6.3-inch LTPO OLED display with a resolution of 1280 x 2856 pixels, a 1–120Hz variable refresh rate, and approximately 495 pixels per inch. The Pixel 9 Pro reached a peak brightness of 2,655 nits, and while a small increase is possible, no significant upgrades to display technology are expected.
Performance and Software
The most notable upgrade will likely come under the hood. The Pixel 10 Pro is tipped to debut the Tensor G5 chipset, reportedly built by TSMC using a 3nm process, replacing the Samsung-manufactured Tensor G4. This switch could lead to improved performance, efficiency, and cooler thermals. Memory is expected to remain at 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM, and the device will ship with Android 16 out of the box.

Camera System
On the camera front, hardware changes appear minimal. The Pixel 10 Pro is expected to stick with the same 50MP main sensor, 48MP ultrawide, and 48MP 5x periscope telephoto lens. As with previous models, AI-driven image processing is likely to deliver improved photo and video quality without requiring new camera sensors.
Battery and Charging
The battery is expected to stay at 4,700mAh, but the more efficient Tensor G5 chip could result in longer battery life. As for charging, reports remain inconsistent—some suggest a bump to 45W wired charging, while others claim it will remain at 29W. Qi2 wireless charging has been confirmed.
Pricing and Final Thoughts
If current leaks hold true, the Pixel 10 Pro will likely stick to the $999 launch price of its predecessor. With most improvements happening internally—particularly the shift to the Tensor G5—the device appears to be an evolutionary upgrade rather than a revolutionary one.
