Realme Confirms Mass Production Timeline for 10,000mAh Smartphone
Realme’s 10,000mAh phone is moving closer to reality, as the company has officially confirmed when it will begin mass production.
In response to a question on Chinese social media platform Weibo, Realme Vice President Chase Xu shared a key update. When asked by a user about the production timeline for the high-capacity battery phone, Xu replied, “Beginning of the year.”
This points to mass production kicking off in early 2026, with a commercial release likely within the same year.
What We Know So Far About Realme’s 10,000mAh Phone
Earlier this year, Realme revealed that the upcoming phone will use an ultra-high silicon content anode battery. The battery will feature a 10% silicon ratio and an energy density of 887Wh/L, making it a notable leap in smartphone battery technology.
Despite the massive battery size, the device is expected to support 320W fast charging and maintain a slim profile with a thickness of under 8.5mm and a weight of less than 200 grams. To achieve this, Realme is using its Mini Diamond Architecture, a design approach that reorganizes internal components to free up space for the larger battery.
The Shift Toward Bigger Smartphone Batteries
Realme isn’t alone in pushing the boundaries of battery capacity. While it has showcased both 10,000mAh and 15,000mAh concept phones, other brands are also stepping into the high-capacity space.
Leaked information suggests that OnePlus is developing a phone with an 8,000mAh battery, while Vivo recently launched the Y500 in China, which comes equipped with an 8,200mAh battery.
In India, several models already offer batteries exceeding 7,000mAh, including the OnePlus Nord CE 5 (7,100mAh) and the Poco F7 (7,550mAh). Many Android flagships now come with batteries over 6,000mAh, and new models like the OnePlus 15 and iQOO 15 are expected to reach 7,000mAh or more.
Realme’s Battery Innovation Journey
Realme continues to showcase its engineering breakthroughs in battery technology. Recently, the company unveiled a 15,000mAh concept phone with a remarkably slim 8.89mm thickness. Previously, it had introduced a 10,000mAh concept phone in its GT series, although no production or launch timeline was provided at the time.
These developments highlight Realme’s focus on delivering high-capacity batteries without compromising on design or portability, a key challenge in today’s smartphone market.
