Samsung Unveils Galaxy A56, A36 & A26: AI-Powered Mid-Range Phones with 6 Years of Updates

Samsung has unveiled its latest A-series smartphones: the Galaxy A56, A36, and A26. These mid-range devices offer powerful AI features, long-term software support, and robust hardware, reinforcing Samsung’s position in the competitive smartphone market. Following the January launch of the Galaxy S25 series, these new models deliver premium features at a more budget-friendly price.

What’s New in the Galaxy A56, A36, and A26?

Samsung is offering 6 years of OS updates and security patches for all three models, ensuring long-term performance. Each device features a 6.7-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 1900 nits peak brightness, delivering an exceptional visual experience. With an IP67 water and dust resistance rating, they’re durable enough to withstand immersion up to 1 meter underwater for 30 minutes. Running on OneUI 7.0 based on Android 15, these models are among the most future-proof mid-range smartphones available.

Galaxy A56: The Power-Packed Performer

The Galaxy A56 is driven by the Exynos 1580 processor and AMD Xclipse 540 GPU, ideal for multitasking and gaming. It offers 8GB/12GB RAM and 128GB/256GB storage. The 50MP primary sensor with OIS, a 12MP ultra-wide lens, and a 5MP macro camera provide excellent photography capabilities, while the 12MP front camera ensures top-tier selfies. It supports 5G, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, and includes a 5,000mAh battery with 45W fast charging. Note: no charger is included.

Galaxy A36: A Balanced Mid-Ranger

Powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chipset and Adreno 710 GPU, the Galaxy A36 offers up to 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. Its camera setup mirrors the A56, with a 50MP primary sensor, but the ultra-wide lens is 8MP. Like the A56, it features 45W fast charging and an in-display fingerprint scanner.

Galaxy A26: Affordable Yet Feature-Packed

The A26 uses the Exynos 1380 processor with Mali-G68 MP5 GPU and offers 6GB/8GB RAM and 128GB/256GB storage, plus a microSD slot (up to 1TB). The 50MP primary sensor, 8MP ultra-wide lens, and 2MP macro lens are complemented by a 13MP front camera. The A26 features a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, retains the 3.5mm headphone jack, and supports 25W charging, along with a 5,000mAh battery.
