The Vivo V50 is poised to be the brand’s next camera-focused mid-range smartphone. Vivo has confirmed its upcoming launch in India, as seen on its dedicated landing page on the Indian website. This page, along with multiple leaks, reveals plenty of details about the upcoming device. Based on this information, here are five things we already know about the Vivo V50, which will follow the Vivo V40 released last year.
Elegant Design with a Curved Display
The Vivo V50 is set to launch with a stunning quad-curved display, giving it a more premium appearance than other phones in its price range. The rear design has also been unveiled, offering us a clear idea of what to expect. The phone will be available in three colors: Rose Red, Starry Blue, and Titanium Grey.
Dual-Camera Setup With Zeiss Optics
The product page also reveals the device’s camera setup, featuring a dual-camera system powered by Zeiss optics. Vivo has confirmed that the main camera will include a 50-megapixel Zeiss sensor, paired with a 50-megapixel Zeiss ultra-wide-angle camera. On the front, there will be a 50-megapixel selfie camera.
The Aura Light also returns, now with enhancements. Vivo has introduced a new feature called AI Studio Light Portrait 2.0, which significantly improves night portrait photography.
ZEISS Portraits And Wedding-Focused Features
Vivo is renowned for its portrait photography capabilities, and the V50 will continue this tradition with a range of bokeh effects powered by Zeiss technology. These include options like Street Portrait at 35mm, Landscape Portrait at 23mm (which delivers a signature Zeiss-style bokeh), and Classic Portrait at 50mm, offering the iconic Zeiss Biotar bokeh effect.
Additionally, the V50 features several color profiles tailored for Indian weddings, including Prosecco, Neo Retro, and Pastel. You can even enhance your wedding photos with color-matched borders using the Wedding Frame feature.
Could Be Powered By Snapdragon 7 Gen 3
Although Vivo hasn’t officially disclosed the exact processor, reports indicate that the V50 might be powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset. What the website does confirm is that the Vivo V50 will come with a 60-month smooth experience guarantee. The device will also feature various AI capabilities, including Transcript Assist, Vivo Live Call Translation, Circle to Search from Google, and Google Gemini. Out of the box, the phone will run Android 15 with Vivo’s FunTouch OS 15 on top.
When Will the Vivo V50 Launch?
Reports indicate that the Vivo V50 may launch on February 18, though the brand has yet to confirm the exact date. However, with the landing page now live and multiple leaks circulating, it’s clear that the official launch in India won’t be too far off.
