According to reports from South Korean outlet ETNews, Samsung is planning to increase production and potentially release the Galaxy S24 earlier than its predecessor, the Galaxy S23. The Galaxy S23 series reportedly sold better than the Galaxy S22, and with expectations of a rebounding smartphone market, Samsung is aiming to produce 30 million units of the Galaxy S24 models, a 10 percent increase from the Galaxy S23 series.
The Galaxy S24 Ultra is expected to make up 50 percent of the units, with the remaining units split evenly between the Galaxy S24 and S24 Plus. Samsung has apparently informed its partners about the production plans and mass production of parts is set to begin in November.
While the release schedule has not yet been determined, there are speculations that Samsung could launch the Galaxy S24 earlier than expected to better compete with Apple, which is unveiling the iPhone 15 series soon. Additionally, the leaker Ice Universe has claimed that the Galaxy S24 will be introduced earlier, which aligns with reports that the chips powering the series, the Exynos 2400 and Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, will be announced earlier than usual.
It is important to note that these are all rumors and speculations, and Samsung has not officially confirmed any details about the Galaxy S24’s release date. As more information becomes available, it will be more clear if the Galaxy S24 will indeed be released earlier than the Galaxy S23.
