Google Pixel 10 Series Tipped for August Launch with Bold New Colours and Upgraded Hardware
Google seems to be preparing for an August debut of its highly anticipated Pixel 10 series, which is expected to deliver significant performance improvements alongside a fresh splash of colour. The upcoming lineup is rumoured to include four models: the Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL, and the foldable Pixel 10 Pro Fold — all potentially powered by Google’s next-gen Tensor G5 chipset.
According to a leak from Mystic Leaks on Telegram, the Pixel 10 series could feature an updated selection of colourways. The standard Pixel 10 may introduce a bright new yellow shade called Limoncello, a cheerful tone that echoes the “Sorta Sunny” variant from the Pixel 6 Pro.
Leaked Colour Options
The base Pixel 10 model is reportedly coming in four vibrant finishes: Blue, Limoncello (Yellow), Iris (Purple), and Obsidian (Black). On the other hand, the Pixel 10 Pro and Pro XL are expected to embrace a more subdued and sophisticated palette, with colours like Green, Sterling (Grey), Porcelain (White), and Obsidian (Black).
For reference, the current Pixel 9 lineup was released in colours such as Peony, Porcelain, Obsidian, and Wintergreen, while the Pixel 9 Pro series featured Hazel, Porcelain, Rose Quartz, and Obsidian.
To enhance personalisation, Google is also said to be developing a curated set of 40 themed wallpapers designed to match and complement the new colour finishes.
Specifications and Features
Beyond aesthetics, the Pixel 10 series is expected to ship with Android 16 out of the box and feature Google’s upcoming Tensor G5 processor, promising faster performance and improved AI capabilities. Connectivity may also get a boost, thanks to a possible integration of the MediaTek T900 modem.
Device codenames have reportedly leaked as well:
- Frankel – Pixel 10
- Blazer – Pixel 10 Pro
- Mustang – Pixel 10 Pro XL
- Rango – Pixel 10 Pro Fold
These names were shared by Gadgets 360, hinting at Google’s internal development roadmap.
Pricing and Availability
While full pricing details haven’t been confirmed, the Pixel 10 Pro XL is expected to carry a premium tag, starting at $1,200 (approx. ₹1,03,900). Meanwhile, the Pixel 10 and Pixel 10 Pro are likely to maintain the pricing of their predecessors, which could make them appealing upgrades for existing Pixel users.
With bold new colours, powerful hardware, and a refined software experience on the horizon, the Pixel 10 series could mark a major step forward in Google’s smartphone evolution.
