With almost half a year still remaining before the unveiling of the Galaxy S24 series, Samsung still possesses ample time to tinker with the design aspect. It appears that Samsung is currently exploring various design options, as indicated by the information shared by the renowned leaker of Samsung leaks, Ice Universe. The leaks suggest that the front design of the Galaxy S24 Ultra is poised to undergo subtle modifications.
In a series of posts and hastily assembled visual representations shared by Ice, it seems that the Galaxy S24 Ultra will boast a flat screen, symmetrically arranged but slightly bulkier bezels, and an elongated aspect ratio.
The Galaxy S23 Ultra boasts a more streamlined side frame compared to its predecessor, the Galaxy S22 Ultra. According to the latest visual representation posted by Ice on X, the side frame of the Galaxy S24 Ultra will bear resemblance to a prototype of the Z Fold 5, which was showcased at Samsung’s research and development design center in South Korea last month. This suggests that the side frame will possess a slightly more rounded shape, potentially giving the Galaxy S24 Ultra a broader appearance.
While the Galaxy S23 Ultra may be hailed as one of the most impressive phones on the market, not everyone is enamored with its slightly curved screen. Ice believes that the upcoming iteration will feature a flat screen, but this might result in the side bezels standing out more prominently.
The display is still anticipated to measure 6.8 inches in size, but it could potentially offer a marginally higher resolution of 1440 x 3120 pixels and a narrower aspect ratio of 19.5:9. Additionally, the phone’s dimensions may undergo a change from 163.4 x 78.1 x 8.9 mm to 162.3mm × 79mm × 8.6mm, implying that it could become slightly shorter but wider and thinner. Based on this information, which Ice has cautioned may be unreliable, it appears that the Galaxy S24 Ultra will feature thicker bezels.
Ice has dispelled rumors of faster charging and asserts that the Galaxy S24 Ultra will continue to offer wired charging speeds of 45W, just like its predecessor.
According to previous rumors, the Galaxy S24 Ultra will weigh roughly the same as the S23 Ultra, despite the likelihood of a transition from aluminum to titanium. The phone could also sport a new 50MP 3x telephoto camera, and certain regions may receive the in-house Exynos 2400, which is believed to be a ten-core chip.
