Chinese tech giant OPPO is reportedly toiling away on its next-generation foldable smartphone, the Find N3, with a tipster on Weibo, Digital Chat Station, clandestinely divulging key specifications. The tipster previously spilled the schematics and crucial specs of this device. As per the leak, the imminent model, slated for a late 2023 debut, will dwarf its predecessor, the Find N2, yet remain more compact compared to its rivals. It is fashioned to be svelte and featherweight.
OPPO Find N3 poised to be grander, sleeker, lighter
The leak intimates that the Find N3 will flaunt a high-resolution 2268 x 2440 pixel screen with a 120Hz refresh rate. It is also anticipated to harbor an 8-inch foldable OLED display and a 6.5-inch FHD+ 120Hz cover display. The camera setup is said to encompass a 50MP OIS triple main camera with a periscope lens. The periscope lens will likely possess 3x zoom capability. The smartphone will purportedly showcase the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, up to 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM, and up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 internal storage.
While the foldable smartphone market is becoming increasingly cutthroat with releases from other brands such as Samsung and Honor, OPPO aspires to distinguish itself with its Find N3 model. By prioritizing a sleek and lightweight design alongside cutting-edge features, OPPO aims to captivate consumers.
In a fascinating twist, a tweet by Max Jambor hints that OnePlus’s inaugural foldable phone, OnePlus Open, might be rebranded as the OPPO Find N3 in China. As per the tipster, the device is slated to hit the market on August 29th and will be available in Black and Green hues.
However, OPPO’s Find N3 will face arduous competition from Samsung, which is poised to unveil its foldable Galaxy Z Fold 5 on July 26th. Moreover, Honor has already unleashed its Magic V2 foldable phone, boasting an ultra-slim profile.
