Perplexity AI ‘Comet’ browser for iPhone now available

Last summer, Perplexity launched one of the first AI-focused web browsers with Comet on the Mac. Now, the long promised iOS counterpart to Comet is available.

Perplexity originally listed Comet for iPhone in the App Store with a pre-order page. The iPhone version of Perplexity’s AI browser was set to go live on March 11, but the team pushed the launch back one week to today.

The listing shows how Comet for iPhone looks:

Like Comet for Mac, the new AI browser for iPhone primarily focuses on Perplexity-powered search and chat:

Comet is an Al-powered browser that acts as a personal assistant and thinking partner. Boost your focus, streamline your workflow, and turn curiosity into momentum.

Unified Al search, instant context, and automation across every site. Summarize, shop, schedule, and research-directly in the browser.

Enjoy the web and let the Al assistant handle your chores

Do everything on your to-do list faster with Comet

Comet adapts to how you think and work, learning your habits to keep you organized. Never lose track of tabs or inspiration.

As we suspected, there’s no iPad version of Comet ready for release in March. For now, Comet for iPhone joins Comet for Mac, Windows, and Android. Users can download the Comet iPhone app now.

Perplexity also recently announced Personal Computer, an AI agent that will run locally on your Mac.
