Leaks suggest the iPhone 17 Air could fall within a thickness range of 5.0mm to 6.0mm, with multiple sources citing measurements such as 5.44mm, 5.5mm, and 5.65mm, according to TechRadar. If these figures hold true, Apple’s next device would out-slim Samsung’s latest flagship. While the difference may seem slight — between 0.15mm and 0.35mm — newly surfaced images from tipster @theonecid show a dummy unit of the iPhone 17 Air placed beside the Galaxy S25 Edge, clearly illustrating the slimmer profile.
However, there’s a catch. The iPhone 17 Air may come with a rear camera lens that protrudes slightly more than the one on the S25 Edge. This could reduce some of the perceived advantage in thinness at its thickest point.
