In South Korea, the emergence of a model labeled SM-F958 has stirred assumptions that it might be the highly anticipated Ultra version of the Z Fold series. These assumptions are grounded in Samsung’s naming conventions. For instance, the Galaxy Z Fold5 bears the label SM-946, while its predecessor, the Galaxy Z Fold4, is identified as SM-936. Following this pattern, it’s reasonable to anticipate the Galaxy Z Fold6 being designated as SM-956. Notably, the Galaxy S24 Ultra carries the model number SM-928.
According to this logic, standard phone models typically conclude with a “6”, while Ultra variants often end with an “8”.
Regrettably, this is the extent of the information available at present. The source of the report speculates that the device could potentially be exclusive to the South Korean market, a notion we find somewhat doubtful given Samsung’s usual global distribution strategy for its Ultra models.
Samsung is anticipated to unveil the Galaxy Z Fold6 alongside the Z Flip6 and the Galaxy Ring in July. Initial renders suggest that the Galaxy Z Fold6 might bear a close resemblance to its current iteration.
